About Us
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Welcome to Thrive Counselling CIC, a community interest company that invests in the community. Thrive Counselling CIC was born out of a need for affordable counselling services in North Wales and the rest of the UK. It started as a conversation between colleagues and has now grown into a platform that actively promotes mental health and well-being. We are committed to providing accessible and effective counselling services to those who need it the most.
We believe that we are all individuals, of equal value, and deserve access to the best quality therapy services. We provide a trauma-informed approach to our work, beginning with the first phone call and continuing throughout all therapy sessions.

Our first face-to-face locations are in Colwyn Bay, Deansgate, and Stockport and we plan to add more locations as we grow.

Our Student Counsellors
We are proud to be able to offer a number of placements to student counsellors who are looking to complete their counselling hours and earn their qualified status.
Each of the students we welcome into our team have been selected via interview, before then embarking on our unique induction process. All students receive additional trauma-focused training from our expert team, as well as supervision from a Thrive specialist.

Student counsellors form an integral part of our low-cost counselling and psychotherapy services.

Our Story
Thrive is a community interest company that was born out of a simple conversation in the Spring of 2024. The company is owned and led by Laura and Rachel, who have long terms plan for Thrive. They have made connections with experienced therapists who are passionate about improving lives and helping people thrive, not just survive. With a focus on trauma-informed care, Thrive is dedicated to providing effective counselling services to those in need.
