About Me
Hello, I’m Amin and I am a trainee counsellor in the final year of a Foundation Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Skills. I offer a warm and supportive space where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions without fear of judgement. I have an understanding of how trauma can affect wellbeing and I also bring both personal and professional experience of ADHD, which helps me to appreciate the unique challenges and strengths that neurodiversity can bring.
My counselling approach is person-centred, rooted in empathy, authenticity and respect, with the aim of creating a safe environment for clients to reflect and grow. Alongside my training, I have worked in education, safeguarding, and community settings (including the Citizens Advice Bureau), supporting people from diverse backgrounds. I am passionate about helping individuals feel understood, respected and empowered on their personal journey.
I am also multilingual (English, Bengali and Urdu) and bring a creative and entrepreneurial background in photography and film, which has enriched my ability to connect with people from many walks of life.
