Hello
Umaimah Naleer
About Me
Umaimah is a BACP-registered integrative counsellor with an MSc in Counselling from Bangor University. She offers a warm, collaborative, and culturally sensitive space to support individuals through life’s difficulties. Drawing on person-centred, psychodynamic, and cognitive behavioural approaches, Umaimah adapts each session to meet the unique needs of her clients. She has worked across a range of settings, including the NHS, bereavement charities, domestic abuse services, and university mental health teams. Her clinical experience includes supporting clients with trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, childhood abuse, academic stress, and emotional dysregulation.
Umaimah aims to offer a calm, compassionate, and thoughtful presence, creating a space where clients feel safe enough to explore their experiences at their own pace. Her focus is on supporting individuals to make sense of difficult thoughts or feelings, strengthen emotional resilience, and develop coping strategies that align with their values and goals. She is currently working towards BACP accreditation and is committed to ongoing professional development to ensure her practice remains inclusive, ethical, and evidence-informed.
