Hello
Emma Beacham
About Me
Emma is trained at Masters level in person centred, psychodynamic, cognitive and behavioural approaches to therapy, and has further training in grief counselling, and in mindfulness-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She has experience as a therapist in the NHS, and working for community based organisations.

Emma works integratively which means she draws on these approaches and works collaboratively to find what works best for you. She offers a safe, compassionate, non-judgemental and calm space for you to feel valued and accepted in what you choose to bring to the sessions. Emma takes a holistic approach, with an understanding of the interconnection of our inner world, and our body, in how we store and process emotions. This is particularly relevant with anxiety and nervous system regulation, and her approach is trauma- informed and focused on safety and building strategies for self-regulation, and using somatic (body based) approaches.

Emma is able to work with any mental health issue, but works particularly with anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, relationship issues, parenting issues, family conflict, mid-life and menopause, trauma, grief and bereavement.
